Dotlane AI is a France-based provider of the Dotlane service. For legal or support questions, you can contact us at contact@dotlane.ai. For privacy, GDPR, or data protection questions, you can contact our DPO at contact+dpo@dotlane.ai.
Dotlane aims to make its AI service understandable and predictable for users. The service includes access to multiple AI model providers and may include standard, multimodal, search-enabled, and reasoning-capable models. Reasoning-capable models are made available as part of the product experience even if the legal pages do not publish a separate exhaustive list of every model grouped by reasoning status.
Unless otherwise specified, these terms apply to all use of Dotlane. Additional conditions may apply in specific scenarios and will be indicated within this document.
In accordance with Article L111-1 of the French Consumer Code, Dotlane AI provides the following information prior to subscription:
Dotlane operates on a monthly subscription model with automatic renewal. By subscribing, you agree to the following:
All content on Dotlane, unless otherwise specified, is owned or provided by Dotlane AI or its licensors. We strive to ensure that content complies with applicable laws and does not infringe third-party rights. If you identify any issues, please report them using the contact details provided.
Dotlane integrates third-party AI models (e.g., Claude, Grok, Deepseek). We are not responsible for the content, availability, or performance of these external resources, which are governed by their respective terms and conditions or applicable law.
When you choose or are routed to a third-party AI model, Dotlane may transmit the prompt, relevant conversation context, uploaded files, and related technical metadata needed to produce the requested answer. Dotlane does not sell this content and does not use it to train or fine-tune Dotlane-owned AI models.
For third-party AI providers, Dotlane uses professional API or business offerings intended to protect customer content from being used for provider model training where such protections are available.
Dotlane uses Zero Data Retention where supported by third-party AI model providers. This means requests are processed to generate the requested answer and are not retained by the provider for training or long-term storage. Where a provider uses a different enterprise privacy mechanism, Dotlane applies the strongest available no-training and limited-retention setting for the relevant API or business account.
This commitment is currently documented at a general level rather than through a public provider-by-provider matrix. If you need clarification about a specific provider or model, contact our DPO at contact+dpo@dotlane.ai.
Dotlane may provide access to models with advanced reasoning capabilities. These models can be selected directly by the user, recommended by the interface, or used through product features depending on availability, plan, and technical routing.
The presence of reasoning capabilities does not reduce your privacy protections. Prompts, files, conversation content, generated outputs, and any reasoning-related data processed by Dotlane remain subject to the same confidentiality, security, GDPR, and training-use commitments described in these Terms and in the Privacy Policy.
Dotlane may only be used for its intended purpose (AI interaction) and in compliance with these Terms and applicable law. You are responsible for ensuring your use does not violate laws, regulations, or third-party rights.
As a European company, we prioritize data security and GDPR compliance. All Personal Data is encrypted (e.g., AES-256 for data at rest, TLS 1.3 for data in transit). For details on data processing, see our Privacy Policy.
Users may request access, correction, export, objection, restriction, or deletion of their Personal Data as described in the Privacy Policy. Dotlane's Zero Data Retention protections for supported AI provider requests are separate from the limited account, billing, security, or compliance Data that Dotlane may need to retain for legal or operational reasons.
Dotlane provides account controls that allow users to delete their conversation history and user Data directly from the interface in one click. These controls are designed to give users immediate control over the Data stored in their Dotlane account.
Some limited Data may still be retained where required for billing, fraud prevention, security, dispute handling, or legal compliance.
If Dotlane AI offers a trial period or free plan, access is subject to these Terms. Upon expiration of the trial period, your access to the services will be limited unless you choose to subscribe to a paid plan. You will be notified prior to the trial’s expiration, and any subscription terms, including pricing and billing details, will be clearly communicated at the time of subscription. To initiate a paid subscription or for further information, contact us at contact@dotlane.ai.
In accordance with Article L221-18 of the French Consumer Code, consumers subscribing to Dotlane’s services at a distance are entitled to a 14-day withdrawal period from the date of subscription, during which they may cancel the subscription without providing a reason or incurring penalties. However, pursuant to Article L221-28, 13° of the French Consumer Code, by subscribing to Dotlane’s services and accessing the platform immediately upon subscription, you expressly consent to the immediate provision of the digital services and acknowledge that you waive your right of withdrawal. This waiver applies as the service is fully performed upon your access to the platform. If you do not consent to the immediate provision of services, you must notify us at contact@dotlane.ai before accessing the platform. For further information or to exercise your rights, please contact us at the aforementioned email address.
Cancellation of Subscription Renewal
Even if you waive your right of withdrawal as described above, you may cancel the renewal of your subscription at any time. To cancel, use the subscription management interface on the Dotlane platform or contact us at contact@dotlane.ai. Upon cancellation, you will receive a confirmation email, and access to the service will continue until the end of the current billing period. No further charges will be applied for subsequent periods. Refunds for the current billing period are not provided unless required by applicable law.
Our failure to enforce any right or provision in these Terms does not constitute a waiver of such rights or provisions.
We may interrupt Dotlane for maintenance, updates, or other reasons, with appropriate notice to users. Service availability may be affected by force majeure events, including but not limited to natural disasters, governmental actions, or cyberattacks, beyond our reasonable control.
You may not reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell, or exploit any part of Dotlane or its services without our express written permission.
All intellectual property rights (e.g., copyrights, trademarks) related to Dotlane are owned by Dotlane AI or its licensors and are protected by applicable laws and international treaties. All trademarks, logos, and marks associated with Dotlane remain our exclusive property.
Dotlane is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, except as required by law. Dotlane AI shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of data or profits, arising from the use of the service, to the extent permitted by applicable law. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by the User for the service in the preceding 12 months.
We may amend these Terms at any time, notifying users via the platform or direct communication at least 30 days before changes take effect. Continued use of Dotlane signifies acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the service. Previous versions are available upon request.
We may transfer or assign our rights or obligations under these Terms, considering your legitimate interests. You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations without our written permission.
All communications regarding Dotlane must be sent to contact@dotlane.ai.
Any disputes arising from these Terms or the use of Dotlane shall be governed by French law. Consumers may refer disputes to a mediator, such as the Fédération du e-commerce et de la vente à distance (FEVAD), or use the EU’s Online Dispute Resolution platform. We will attempt to resolve disputes amicably before escalating to legal proceedings.
If any provision of these Terms is invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.
